There is no arguing that Bae Suzy of the girl group Miss A is one of South Korea's biggest stars.

There is no arguing that Bae Suzy of the girl group Miss A is one of South Korea’s biggest stars.

But in an interview Monday with the Seoul Broadcasting System program “Healing Camp,” the 18-year-old singer and actress spoke out about the danger of becoming so popular at such a young age.

“It′s not all good, having everyone like you so much,” Suzy explained.

“I always come to think that my popularity won′t last that long, and that it won′t last forever.”

Suzy, who was the first Korean woman to receive over a million followers on the microblogging website Twitter according to Korea.com, admitted that she often feels trepidation about what the future will hold for her celebrity status.

“At some point I started becoming worried that I wouldn′t be popular anymore,” she said.

“I don′t know if I would be able to accept it if my popularity suddenly came to drop when I′m so loved now.”

The star of the popular Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation program “Gu Family Book,” says it isn’t her vanity that fuels her paranoia about her level of fame in the future, but rather a desire not to upset her family.

“It’s okay for me [if I am no longer famous] but I’m worried about my mother and my family,” Suzy said.

“I′m worried my parents, who love to hear that they’ve brought up their daughter so well, won′t be able to stand it.”

The star’s parents were on hand for the “Healing Camp” taping. The couple shared childhood stories about Suzy to the delight of the crowd.

Earlier this month, the Miss A lead singer took to Twitter to thank her fans for supporting her in the three years since she started her career with Miss A.

“Many thanks to everyone who have helped to celebrate our third anniversary,” Suzy wrote.

“I received the presents and letters that you have sent! I don’t know if I am worthy enough to receive all these, but it’s because of you all that I have been happy for the past three years. I will never forget all of these and will continue to work hard.”

Miss A rose to fame with their debut single “Bad Girl Good Girl.”

Her role in the 2012 film “Architecture 101″ led to her earning the title of the “nation’s first love.”
